It’s now one year and nine days since the last “alleged assault”. In four days I go back to court after a four month adjournment. I’m still technically “under oath”.
The last twelve months have been spent trying to recover from this awful thing. On Friday they rip the bandaid off again.
I don’t think I would ever advise anyone to go to the police after this.
And that is the saddest part of the whole thing.

Sadly you are right, police never helped me as well.

The police have actually been great but it’s the justice system that had been so hard. It feels designed to retraumatise you as much as possible.
